More Than 8,500 Chevrolet Malibu Vehicles Recalled For Rear Suspension Defect

At least 8,519 Chevrolet 2013 Malibu models are being recalled this week after it was revealed by a General Motors letter to the National Highway Traffics Safety Administration that there may be a serious problem with the rear suspension cradles. Discovered during an inspection by a GM test fleet driver in December, the problem stems from specific bolts in the rear suspension that may not have been torqued adequately in the manufacturing process.

GM Expands Recall Of Popular Buick And Chevrolet Models With Dangerous Airbag Defects

 Last October, General Motors LLC announced the recall of approximately 2,949 vehicles because of a manufacturing defect with the shorting bar in the front driver’s side airbag. Basically, the recall report stated that the shorting bar could accidentally touch the airbag terminals, which would stop the airbag from deploying in the event of an accident.

GM Recalls Chevrolet Kodiaks, Isuzu Models For Brake Service

GM notified owners of this recall on September 1, 2009. They recalled 1,880 Chevrolet T-Series and Kodiak vehicles. Also included in this recall were H-Series and F-Series Isuzu vehicles and T-Series and Topkick GMC vehicles.

It was determined that the air brake system could malfunction. The air pressure was not high enough for the air brakes to function properly. If the driver ignored this warning and continued driving it, the parking brakes could engage automatically, disabling the vehicle.

GM Recalls Popular Chevy Aveo Over Fuel Line Fire Hazard

General Motors recalled about 1,500 of its 2007 Chevrolet Aveo sedan cars in the United Arab Emirates due to a defect in the fuel line that could potentially cause the vehicle to go in flames in the event of a crash.

The recall decision was confirmed by the local agent of General Motors Company in the UAE, GM Overseas Distribution Corp and the announcement was made by UAE’s Director of the Ministry of Economy’s Consumer Protection Unit, Dr Hashim Al Nuaimi.

GM Recalls More Than 1.5 Million Vehicles Due To Fire Hazard

General Motors announced today that for the second time in two years it will recall vehicles because of a manufacturing defect that could potentially cause fires in a variety of popular model vehicles. More than 1.5 million automobiles are involved in this recall, including pickup trucks, sedans, crossovers, and sport utility vehicles manufactured between 2006 and 2009.
